Originally composed by Ryoji Yoshitomi Remade with the Super Metroid soundfont A lot of people criticize the Metroid II soundtrack because it is not melodic enough. I am not one of those people. Dissonant, rhythmically jarring, and oftentimes absent of harmony is how a dark, desolate planet with hostile life forms is supposed to sound. Nevertheless, this is one of the few "tuneful" songs to be heard on the soundtrack... and its still pretty bizarre when you look at it closely. The voicings used are pretty stark, and the driving rhythm of the original is somewhere between a march and a groove. Anyway, I tried to keep the original in tact as much as possible.
